National Training Programme

Here at the Good Companions we value the importance of ensuring that the Companions we connect to our valuable Clients have the appropriate training in order for them to carry out their roles with skills, understanding and knowledge.

We strongly believe in the value of training and how it impacts the quality of care that is provided, both for the Clients’ benefit and also to demonstrate the value we have in our 24 hour live-in care Companions.

We have developed a National Training Programme with a National provider that aims to cover the training needs of self-employed Companions, either already working with us or those we have yet to meet.

The Good Companions have taken these steps to develop this training system that results in the achievement of the Care Certificate as we strongly believe in the value and importance of having trained, skilled and experienced Companions representing the organisation as a whole. The Care Certificate is accredited and valid for 3 years from the date of completion; it is also recognised as being a brilliant foundation course for anyone wishing to further their vocational competency through the QCF Qualification route or equivalent.

If you are interested in finding out more about our National Training Programme please do get in touch with a member of our team.
